Close Look

JNC | MetalPrints, in collaboration with Shannon Oncology, presents this installation, Close Look.

Macro photography allows us to see the world in a whole new way by capturing its intricate details and beauty. It teaches us to slow down, be attentive, and find beauty in the little things. It is a powerful metaphor for how we should approach and appreciate life - by looking closely and enjoying the beauty in every detail.

Jean N Cornell is a Texas-based photographer who captures our world with a fresh perspective. With an eye for the unique and the unexpected, her photographs showcase the spirit of West Texas.

Jean chooses to live life her way, following her instincts, which is evident in her art. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Tech University, which gave her an excellent design background. However, as far as her photography goes, she is entirely self-taught. Jean has carried a camera for most of her life, which has enabled her to master her craft naturally. As a result, her art has grown from a passionate hobby to a successful enterprise called JNC | MetalPrints.

She has several installations in the Shannon Hospital System. Additionally, she has work that resides in several private collections in homes and businesses throughout Texas, Mexico, and beyond.
