Las Dos Angelas

Las Dos Angelas are at the back of the San Angelo Visitors Center, where you will find two tall bronzes to celebrate the strength of Texas women. They are of heroic scale, which means they are 1.5 times the size of real life. John Noelke, the artist, sculpted these bronzes that depict St. Angela Meruci (1474? - 1540), the city's namesake, and Caroline Angela de la Garza Dewitt, the wife of San Angelo's founder.
