San Saba County

San Saba County's county seat is San Saba. The county was formed in 1856. The county is named after the San Saba River, which flows through the county. 

San Saba is known as the "Pecan Capital of the World." Pecans are indigenous to the county and have been a cash crop since 1857. 

As of the 2020 census, its population was 5,730.
