The Bosque

No matter what, you will want to put the Bosque on your list of things to do. It overlooks the Concho River and offers places to relax, plenty of photo opportunities, and, best of all, room for kids to run around and burn off energy. The Bosque is a playground for adults and kids alike, including washer-pitching pits, oversized chess boards, putt-putt golf, paddleboats, sand volleyball, bocce ball, and concessions. The Grove, the Bosque's concession stand, accepts cash and credit cards for game pieces and refreshments.

The Bosque is open Tuesday through Friday from 4:00 – 9:00 and Saturdays from 12:00 – 9:00. And it is closed Sundays and Mondays. However, "open" means that the concessions and activities (paddle boats, mini-golf, etc.) are open for business. The actual park isn't ever closed, so if you want to unwind, take pictures, or stretch your legs, you can go pretty much anytime.
